[Podcast] Episode 001: It’s time to get smart, comfortable and focused with your money

I’m excited to launch the first episode of the Speak of Money Podcast!

In this episode, I share what I have found to be the top reasons why people have trouble achieving their financial life goals.

I also discuss the three key areas you should work on to develop your long term financial success, and give you three different challenge exercises that you can starting working on now to start getting smart, comfortable and focused with your money.

Step 1. Getting smart with your money.

You can ask your questions here.

Again, I can’t provide personalized advice through this website (please see my terms of use page) but you can send me questions that I may use in future episodes or podcasts by sending me a message.   Others may have similar questions and if I know what your concerns are, I can tailor my content to address those issues. If I use your question, your identity will remain private.

Step 2. Getting comfortable with your money.

Get a journal to start keeping notes. Answer the following questions:

  • What was the best financial decision I ever made?
  • What was the worst financial decision I ever made?
  • How did I feel when these happened?
  • How do I feel about them now?
  • Do thoughts of these decisions influence the way I make decisions now in life? Financial or otherwise? Positively or negatively? In what way? Give yourself time to think about this as your first response may be to think they don’t influence you, but it’s likely they do.

Step 3. Getting focused with your money.
